Your hosts, Abdul (right) & Azad (left), have over forty years' of high quality experience in Indian restaurants, These charismatic young professionals have applied there knowledge and experience to the maximum, to ensure that the Café Saffron indian restaurant in Shrewsbury is acknowledged as the best of the best Indian Restaurants in Shrewsbury and continues to be so. CAFE SAFFRON IS NOW RECOGNISED AS THE BEST INDIAN RESTAURANT IN THE ENTIRE OF "SHROPSHIRE", THEY ARE THE WINNER OF THE SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL'S CURRY CHEF OF THE YEAR AWARD 2010.

Abdul has worked in various Indian restaurants up and down the country and has worked as Manager and Head chef and has valuable experiance in his field. Azad has worked in highly established Indian restaurants across the UK and has vast experiance in the kitchen area as he has worked as main chef and kitchen manager.

Currently Abdul and Azad still cook, being involved in there own business together, They both play an active role in the kitchen area and most days are cooking.  They also play a large role on the restaurant floor providing exceptional customer service. "We are passionate about food and we are commited in our customer service and food standards",  We both work nearly every day making sure your time at Cafe Saffron is memorable, there is not a day when either of is not working.

In our time we have gained vast experience in the indian restaurants sector, and we have been invited to do indian cooking lessons at various colleges, We are especialially interested in indian fusion cooking and creating unique indian dishes, As well offering outstanding customer service. CAFE SAFFRON IS THE ONLY INDIAN RESTAURANT IN SHREWSBURY - SHROPSHIRE THAT WE OPERATE. We both play an active role of keeping the kitchen clean, our new 150 point check system in process. The first round of the Shropshire council curry chef awards, were an environmental health inspection of the restaurant and kitchen which we passed and then went on to winnning the competition that was hosted at Radbrook catering college being watched by several environmental health officers, food critics and reporters.

Café saffron indian Restaurant Shrewsbury started in 2001 with 3 ambitious young men who had a vision to create the best and only contemporary Indian restaurant in Shrewsbury. Abdul & Azad were well known in Shrewsbury as they had worked in various Indian restaurants in the town, word spread quickly and the restaurant were soon becoming full.Our master Award winning indian chef Abdul, Now Shropshire's curry chef of the year 2010, has trained alongside highly established chefs. When we started we only had 35 seats. Thanks to  your support we have extended to seat up 110 people.

Our management and staff are all trained in good customer relations. We can cater for most special diets eg : Vegan - Vegetarian - wheat tollerant - low fat diets - healthy - authentic - all our meats are lean and we use olive oil on request, we don't use ghee in our curries. Eat healthy ask for olive oil in small amounts. We will work on any kind of special diet required.
